Finger and Hand Extension and Flexion Splints: Dynamic MCP

Dynasplint Systems, Inc. developed the metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joint extension and flexion splints to increase finger and hand dexterity and range of motion in adults following injury, surgery, trauma or disease.

Individually fit by trained Dynasplint® consultants who work with the doctor or therapist to oversee the range of motion therapy, the dynamic (MCP) extension and flexion splints are worn during periods of inactivity. The devices are worn typically for 6-8 hours a day (2-4 hours in the beginning), although each patient can vary. The comfortable and adjustable finger and hand extension and flexion splints apply a low-load, prolonged-duration stretch (LLPS) across the joint using a bilateral tensioning system. This works to provide continuous, gentle stretch to the joint to achieve permanent lengthening to connective tissue.

Used in conjunction with physical therapy, the finger and hand extension and flexion splints are effective up to 53% faster in regaining range of motion. Want the continued positive effects of therapy at home?  Consider the constant, gentle stretch of dynamic splints for the finger and hand. They’re like having the physical therapist’s hands at home! The end result: regained, lasting range of motion in the finger and hand.
