How do Dynasplint® Systems work?
Dynasplint Systems are gentle stretching devices that help increase joint range of motion. The Dynasplint System provides a low tension to your restricted soft tissue, allowing application for prolonged periods of time. If you’re not stretching to your maximum end range of motion after surgery, such as a joint replacement, tendon/ligament repair or after a period of immobilization following an injury such as a fracture or dislocated joint; the soft tissues, tendons, ligaments, muscles and fascia will shorten rather quickly. Traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and other neurological events such as a CVA (stroke) can also benefit from the gentle, consistent stretch the system provides. Dynasplint Systems are the perfect aid for the Home Exercise Program and offers an effective approach to stretching on a daily basis. Ask your doctor to prescribe a Dynasplint System at your pre-operative appointment so we can plan for the quickest and best recovery.
Who are candidates for a Dynasplint System?
Anyone in need of gentle stretching that has connective tissue changes (tendons, ligaments, fascia, and muscle) which have occurred as a result of traumatic or non-traumatic conditions or immobilization, causing limited joint range of motion. Dynasplint Systems work perfectly as part of a home exercise program to allow daily gentle stretching.

When do I know I have reached the maximum benefit from using the Dynasplint System?
Range of motion gains vary from patient to patient and what matters is how much time and effort you're putting in to wearing your splints. Dynasplint will make it easy for you to stretch on the go and incorporate wearing time into your daily lifestyle. Ask your doctor, PT and Dynasplint Consultant to meet up with you periodically to measure your range of motion gains so you know if you need to adjust your splint and wearing schedule.
