Veterinary Joint Rehabilitation Devices for Small Animals
Our splints for small animals aid in rehabilitating the joints, muscles, and tendons of dogs, cats, and other mamals in need of physical therapy.
Small Animal Dynasplint® Systems –The Gentle SolutionDynasplint Systems, Inc. developed the Small Animal extension and flexion Systems to restore lost range of motion due to injury, trauma, surgery, or disease. As with all Dynasplint® Systems, the Small Animal Systems apply a low-load, prolonged-duration stretch (LLPS) directly across the joint axis. They are fully adjustable, comfortable, conveniently labeled, and available in various sizes. LLPS has been used successful for more than 50 years in human rehabilitation to treat joint stiffness and limited range of motion caused by shortened connective tissue. The spring-loaded Dynasplint® Systems constantly seek the patient's available end range of motion and continue to gently stretch the joint. Dynasplint® Systems' technology applies LLPS to permanently lengthen soft tissue using the principle of Total End Range Time (TERT). Dynasplint® Systems can be used alone or as an adjunct to rehabilitation. |
Common Diagnoses
- Post trauma (e.g., hit by car)
- Nerve injuries

Testimonials
Dynasplint® is a valuable tool in my rehabilitation practice, both with two-legged human patients and four-legged canine patients. It's certainly a welcome addition in the field of small animal rehabilitation, a recent collaborative effort between physical therapy and veterinary medical professionals. Not only does Dynasplint® allow my patients to "take my hands home" with them, but I'm certainly assured that my patients and clients will be compliant, safe, and comfortable with their range of motion home programs.

"Our client, "Marley" came in with severe knee flexion contractures bilaterally, after having undergone multiple stifle surgeries on both legs, and prolonged immobilization in a crate. He was very anxious and uncomfortable with manual stretching, and wouldn't allow us even to get to end-range. After only 2 weeks of using the Dynasplint®, he gained 35 degrees of extension, and was much more tolerant of being stretched--in fact, he even allowed some joint mobilizations to be performed. [Our Dynasplint® Representative] was very informative and helpful in the ordering and fitting process. I don't think we would have been able to get functional ROM back in this dog without the use of Dynasplint®."
