Equine Dynasplint® Systems –The Gentle Solution
Dynasplint Systems, Inc. developed the Equine Systems to treat various conditions found in horses ranging in age from foal to adult. These have also been effective in treating alpacas and llamas. Most commonly, Equine Dynasplint® Systems are used to treat flexural contractures, angular limb deformities and laxity problems. As with all Dynasplint®Systems the Equine Systems apply a low-load, prolonged-duration stretch (LLPS) or stress, are fully adjustable, comfortable, and conveniently labeled for easy application.
LLPS has been used successfully for more than 50 years in human application to treat joint stiffness and contractures caused by shortened connective tissue. The spring-loaded Dynasplint® Systems constantly seek the patient's available end range of motion and continue to gently stretch the joint. Dynasplint® Systems technology applies LLPS to permanently lengthen soft tissue using the principle of Total End Range Time (TERT).
We also use this technology to apply a low level stress to help correct angular limb deformities. When you use our Equine Systems to treat laxity problems, we reverse our Systems to assist in relieving forces on the injured soft tissue.

Testimonials
"I removed the Dynsplint® System after five hours and was shocked at the result. The splinted leg was corrected already to the point that my foal could rest his front foot down to the ground. It was absolutely miraculous to see." ..."I would recommend Dynasplint® Systems highly for its ease of use, its capability to create effective correction, and because of the superb customer service you receive."

"Our foal “Belle” was born with a severely contracted fetlock. She walked mostly on her fetlock joint and her little hoof stuck out to the side. Our vet suggested that we try a Dynasplint® before we settled on surgery. She had a client that had successfully used a Dynasplint®.
We tried two Dynasplint® Systems. The second Dynasplint® kept her leg straight, and did not allow her leg to bend back. For two weeks we faithfully put it on and took it off at least twice a day. We persevered through a lot of frustration because we did not see any results. [The Dynasplint® Systems representative] was terrific. She encouraged us to keep going and not to give up. The third week we began to see her straighten up and then suddenly over about three days, Belle’s leg was completely straight. She is now just about six weeks old and we cannot believe how the Dynasplint® straightened out her leg. It’s a miracle.
When Belle was born, we had a lot of people who dropped by to see our long anticipated foal. Many people were being polite, and not saying what we knew they were thinking. If you had seen her then, you would never believe that it’s the same perfectly even, straight, gorgeous filly that we have now, thanks to Dynasplint®!"
