Infant and Pediatric Elbow Splints

Dynasplint Systems, Inc. is the only company to develop infant and pediatric elbow splints. Elbow extension splints are available for both infant’s sizes and children’s (pediatric) sizes and elbow flexion is available in children’s (pediatric) size only. These infant and pediatric splints can be used to treat joint stiffness and restore lost range of motion due to injury, trauma, surgery or disease. This range of motion is important during the critical development stages for your infant, child or young patient.

Individually fit by trained Dynasplint® consultants who work with the doctor or therapist to oversee the range of motion therapy, the infant and pediatric splints are worn during relaxation. While each patient is different, the device is worn typically for 6-8 hours a day (2-4 hours in the beginning). These infant and pediatric splints apply a low-load, prolonged-duration stretch (LLPS) across the joint using a tensioning system. It is this constant, gentle stretch to the joint that helps to permanently elongate connective tissue in the elbow.

Want to see an infant, child or young patient continue at home with the same positive results achieved during therapy? Consider the continuous, gentle stretch of the Dynasplint®. It’s like having the physical therapist’s hands at home! The end result: regained, lasting range of motion.
